Mutton Egg Masala Recipe - Mutton Egg Masala Curry Recipe

Mutton Egg Masala Curry

Ingredients for Mutton Egg Masala Curry

You will need the following ingredients:

  • Mutton (1/2 kilogram)
  • Eggs (4)
  • Clarified butter(1 tbsp)
  • Onions (2) (100 g) (finely cut)
  • Tomatoes (2) (150 g) (chopped)
  • Salt (according to taste)
  • Tamarind
  • Lemon juice
  • Mint leaves (for garnishing and condiment)

For the Masala:

  • Cumin seeds (1/2 tsp)
  • Turmeric (1/2 tsp)
  • Coriander seeds (1/2 tsp)
  • Peppercorn (6)
  • Cinnamon Stick (2.5 cm)
  • Cardamom (2)
  • Cloves (2)
  • Chilies (3)
  • Ginger (2.5 cm)
  • Garlic (6 cloves) (12 gram)
For the Condiment:
  • Coriander (1/2 bunch)
  • Mint (5-6 leaves)

First, add butter to a slightly heated pan, and add the onions and cook them until they turn a light brown color. Secondly, add the two largely chopped tomatoes until dry.  Add the previously prepared masala paste to the pan and gently stir. Add half a kilogram of mutton while boiling four eggs in a separate pot. After adding the mutton, add salt and water as needed until the mutton is thoroughly cooked. Lastly, add the condiment along with the tamarind pulp and lemon juice to enhance flavor. Keep stirring to incorporate flavors into the meat. Check the seasoning and adjust accordingly. To serve, add the hard-boiled eggs and sprinkle the mint and coriander leaves on top before reheating.

You can serve the Mutton Egg Masala curry with plain white rice or with the traditional Pakistani bread (roti). Some people prefer to serve the rice with a few green peas, chickpeas, or a simple “bagar” or “tarka.” It is all up to you. Hope you loved the Mutton Egg Masala recipe.
