The CokeFoodFest (Lahore) by Foodies R Us

Okay, this was an awesome weekend. I have to attend the amazing Food Festival (3-5 February 2017), at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. It was a three-day event, and you can easily guess what happened. Well, the name says it all! It was all about the amazing food you can find in Lahore.

We all know that Lahore is the hub of the most amazing and mouthwatering recipes. People in this wonderful city love food, they love living a great life, and they are people with an open heart. Asad Sheikh, Owner and organizer of the Foodies R’ Us Facebook page gets all the credit for making this event such a huge success. This community in Facebook has grown into the largest groups. Besides, the Food Fest was the first ever and a great success. Here’s my review of the event, based on the little bit of information I got:

Objective of the CokeFoodFest Foodies R Us Event

Well, I think the idea was to give some of the new and existing restaurants and eateries an opportunity to market themselves. At the same time, it was a great opportunity for family people to come out and have a nice time. It was an opportunity for youngsters to meet others, socialize, catch up with friends, and make new acquaintances, under the supervision of their family members. Overall, it was a neat event. I think they pretty much achieved everything they aimed at achieving. I had the opportunity to learn a lot about some of the amazing dishes we get in Lahore.

Food Wasn’t All of It

What is an event without music? Yeah! Well, since it was a Coke Food Fest, it couldn’t be a huge success without the Coke Studio performing live. Quadrum was performing live when I visited on the second day. Many people planned to visit the event on all three days especially to explore as much of the cuisines they could get. There was a variety from all over the world! Official media partners for the festival were URDU1, Radio1FM91, and Kinetic. Lotus PR was the official public relations partner.

Sponsors and Hosting

Hosts of the event were Coca-Cola Pakistan, powered by Banaspati and Kashmir Cooking Oil, OnePlatter, Active media and Foodies R Us worked together to organize the event. Bank Alfalah also supported the event. Lifebuoy was the hygiene partner, making sure they do not compromise on the quality of the food. Other participating sponsors included McDonald’s, Sufi, and Tetra Pak.
