Ancient civilizations and most modern families use honey as a sweetener in tea, coffee, and other beverages. Honey is an ingredient that fights aging, moisturizes the skin, and helps the body fight against bacteria. Moreover, it is rich in antioxidants, has healing properties, and provides nutrients our body needs. Natural and raw honey (unprocessed) is what you need to find if you want to enjoy the benefits that it offers.

How to Use Honey for Beauty Benefits

Some of the ways to use honey for beauty benefits include:

2.      Pore Cleanser

Honey has enzymes that deep cleanse the skin, freeing the pores of dirt and bacteria. It has antibacterial properties, which when combined with coconut oil and jojoba help prevent bacterial infection in the skin. To make the concoction, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil or jojoba and mix well then apply a smooth layer on your skin. Avoid eyes and massage your face gently. After some time, rinse it with tepid water and see the magic.

It removes dead skin cells, makes the complexion radiant, and promotes the formation of new cells.

4.      Scar Fader

Honey can lighten scars on the skin, which is one of its major beauty benefits. Moreover, it has anti-inflammatory properties that decrease scars by inducing tissue regeneration and healing. The hydrating properties of honey, mixed with those of coconut oil or olive oil help revive skin cell. Gentle massage helps increase circulation and recovery. The concoction with coconut oil or olive oil helps improve blood circulation. With a hot washcloth over the skin, it helps a lot.

6.      Bath Soak

Honey has anti-oxidative properties too, which prevent skin from environmental hazards. Mix two tablespoons of raw honey in a cup of hot water. Once it dissolves well, add it to a tub of warm water, and soak yourself in it.

7.      Cuticle Moisturizer
